Going to dental assisting school in Georgia will prepare you to be a valuable member of a dentist’s team. You will work closely with dental hygienists by assisting them at chair-side and helping to take X-rays. You will also help the dentist during procedures and teeth cleanings.

At dental assisting school, you will learn all the basics of being a good dental assistant, and most programs allow you to go to school on your own schedule. Most classes take about five quarters (three to six months), and will prepare you for a career in this ever-changing industry. Most dental assisting schools also offer a variety of hands-on opportunities to intern and work with dentists while you are learning the trade. In fact, many graduates go on to work in the same offices that provide the internship learning opportunities.

Most dental assistants can make anywhere from $10 to $25 an hour, depending on the office. Many dental offices also offer health benefits and regular holidays off.
